🎬 Afrifundr Creator Guidelines

Build Trust. Tell Your Story. Deliver Your Project. Afrifundr is a platform built to support creative projects through community funding. To maintain a safe and trusted environment, all creators must follow these guidelines.

These rules are designed to help you run successful campaigns while protecting supporters and the integrity of the platform.

To create a campaign on Afrifundr, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • complete identity verification (KYC)
  • provide valid bank account details
  • receive approval from the Afrifundr team

Only verified creators are allowed to launch campaigns.

2 🎨 Eligible Projects

Afrifundr is strictly for creative projects.

Examples of allowed campaigns:

  • film production
  • music projects or album releases
  • studio setup or equipment purchase
  • photography and visual arts
  • fashion and design projects
  • content creation and digital media

  • investment or profit-sharing schemes
  • illegal or harmful activities

We reserve the right to reject any campaign that does not align with our platform focus.

3 📌 One Campaign at a Time

Creators are allowed to run only one active campaign at a time.

You cannot create a new campaign if:

  • your current campaign is still active
  • your previous campaign has not been completed or expired

This ensures focus, quality, and accountability.

4 📝 Campaign Approval Process

All campaigns are reviewed before going live.

Your campaign must include:

  • a clear and honest project description
  • a realistic funding goal
  • a defined deadline
  • a detailed budget breakdown
  • relevant images or videos

Afrifundr may approve your campaign, request changes, or reject campaigns that do not meet standards.

5 💰 Budget Transparency (Required)

Every campaign must include a clear breakdown of how funds will be used.

Example:

  • Camera rental — ₦150,000
  • Lighting — ₦80,000
  • Studio session — ₦200,000

Be specific and realistic. This helps supporters understand your needs and builds trust.

6 ⚖️ Be Honest and Accurate

Creators must:

  • present truthful information
  • avoid exaggeration or misleading claims
  • clearly explain what the funds will achieve

Do not:

  • use fake images or content
  • misrepresent your identity or experience
  • promise results you cannot deliver

Any form of deception may result in account suspension.

7 📊 Funding Model Awareness

Afrifundr uses a flexible funding model.

  • you may receive funds even if your goal is not fully reached
  • supporters are donating voluntarily, not making purchases

You are responsible for using the funds appropriately regardless of the final amount raised.

8 🛡️ Fund Usage Responsibility

Funds must be used strictly for the purpose stated in your campaign.

You must:

  • follow your proposed budget
  • prioritize project execution
  • avoid misuse of funds

Afrifundr may take action if funds are misused or suspicious activity is detected.

9 🏦 Withdrawal Rules

To protect the platform and its users:

  • funds are locked during the campaign
  • withdrawals are only allowed after the campaign ends or expires
  • all withdrawal requests require admin approval

Afrifundr reserves the right to delay or reject withdrawals, request additional verification, or freeze funds in suspected fraud cases.

10 📣 Post-Campaign Updates (Mandatory)

Creators must provide updates after their campaign ends.

Updates may include:

  • equipment purchased
  • project progress
  • behind-the-scenes content
  • final outputs such as film, music, or design work
Important Rule: You cannot start a new campaign until your previous campaign has ended or expired and you have posted at least one approved update.
11 💬 Communication with Supporters

Creators do not have direct access to donor contact details.

All communication:

  • is handled through Afrifundr
  • must be approved before being sent

This protects both creators and supporters.
