Afrifundr:

• facilitates fundraising between creators and supporters
• processes payments through third-party providers
• provides tools for campaign creation, updates, and communication

Afrifundr does not guarantee the success, completion, or delivery of any project.

To use Afrifundr, you must:

• be at least 18 years old
• provide accurate and complete information
• comply with all applicable laws and regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Creators are users who create fundraising campaigns.

Donors are users who contribute funds to campaigns.

Visitors may browse campaigns but must comply with platform rules.

Creators agree to:

• provide truthful and accurate information
• clearly explain how funds will be used
• submit a realistic budget breakdown
• use funds solely for the stated project
• post updates on project progress
• comply with all Afrifundr policies

Creators must not mislead donors, create fraudulent campaigns, use funds for illegal activities, or impersonate individuals or organizations.

Afrifundr reserves the right to review and approve campaigns before publishing, and to reject or remove campaigns at its discretion.

• Only one active campaign is allowed per creator at a time
• Creators must complete or allow a campaign to expire before launching another
• Creators must post at least one approved update before starting a new campaign
• Campaign deadlines are fixed once published
• Afrifundr may suspend or remove campaigns that violate policies

Nature of Donations: All contributions made on Afrifundr are voluntary donations and not purchases or investments.

Donors understand that:

• they are supporting a project, not buying a guaranteed outcome
• projects may change, be delayed, or not be completed

Payments: Payments are processed via third-party providers such as Paystack and Flutterwave.

Fees: Afrifundr charges a platform fee on each successful donation, deducted automatically at the time of donation.

Afrifundr operates a flexible funding model, meaning:

• creators may receive funds even if their funding goal is not fully reached
• funds are collected and held until the campaign ends or expires
• withdrawals are subject to Afrifundr approval

Donors acknowledge and accept this model before contributing.

• all funds are initially held by Afrifundr
• creators cannot withdraw funds during an active campaign
• withdrawals are only allowed after campaign completion or expiration
• all withdrawals require administrative approval
• Afrifundr may delay, reject, or investigate withdrawal requests

Creators may post updates after campaign completion and share progress, media, and outcomes.

All updates:

• are subject to review and approval by Afrifundr
• may be sent to donors who opted in to notifications

Creators do not have direct access to donor contact information.

Afrifundr protects donor privacy.

• creators do not receive donor contact details
• donors may choose to remain anonymous publicly
• communication between creators and donors is handled through the platform

By using Afrifundr, you agree to this communication structure.

Creators may submit thank-you messages to donors.

• messages are reviewed by Afrifundr before sending
• Afrifundr may edit or reject messages
• messages are delivered through the platform

Users may report campaigns for fraud, misleading content, or abuse.

Afrifundr may:

• investigate reports
• suspend campaigns
• freeze funds
• restrict accounts

Afrifundr’s decisions in such matters are final.

Users must not:

• engage in fraud or deceptive practices
• create fake campaigns
• manipulate donations
• attempt to bypass platform controls
• use the platform for illegal activities
• harass or abuse other users

Violation may result in account suspension, fund withholding, or legal action.

Donations on Afrifundr are generally non-refundable.

Refunds may only be issued:

• in cases of proven fraud
• at Afrifundr’s sole discretion
• subject to payment provider policies

Afrifundr:

• does not guarantee project success
• is not responsible for how creators use funds
• is not liable for project delays, failures, or outcomes

Users participate at their own risk.

Creators retain ownership of their content.

By uploading content, creators grant Afrifundr a license to:

• display content
• promote content
• distribute content on the platform

Afrifundr may suspend or terminate accounts if users:

• violate these Terms
• engage in suspicious or harmful activity
• provide false information

Afrifundr relies on third-party providers for payments, hosting, and notifications.

We are not responsible for failures or issues caused by third-party services.

Afrifundr may update these Terms at any time.

Users will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
